Since palm oil contains %50 saturated fatty acids, it is semi-solid at room temperature, making it an indispensable source of raw materials in almost the entire food industry. To get back to the properties of palm oil, it is very important for individual and social benefits that GMO (Genetically Modified Organism), which has become one of the biggest problems of today, is not included in palm oil. Palm oil is not only non-GMO, but also not contain trans fatty acids and is a antidote to trans fat. Palm oil is a very rich source of vitamin E and antioxidansts. With these features, it is beneficial for human health in many issues, especially heart health. Palm oil is an oil that has advantages not only in terms of individual health, but also in production and consumption.

    Palm oil is very versatile as a oil used in food, cosmetics and many more industries. It is also very efficient compared to other oils. To show with numerical data, one hectar of palm tree produces approximately 3.74 tons of oil in a year, while one hectare of soybeans produces 0.37 tons and one hectare of canola produces 0.67 tons of oil. This data clearly shows how much differences there are with other oils in terms of efficiency. In addition, palm oil tree has a life span of about 25 years and unlike other vegetable oils, its production is not seasonal.

    To sum up, palm oil is more advantegous and healthier than other oils for both the producer and the consumer. It has rich vitamin E and antioxidant content, non-GMO, does not include trans fat and much more efficient than other oils makes palm oil a very good alternative to other oils.
