A Must for Ramadan: Gullac


  • 10 leaves of Gullac
  • 1,5 liter milk
  • 2 glass of sugar
  • Crushed walnut

For the top:

  • Ground pistachio
  • Walnut
  • Pomegranate arils


  1. Put the milk and the sugar into a pan. Heat it until the sugar gets melt.
  2. Allow the milk to cool at room temperature. Make sure your milk is not too hot.
  3. Place a Gullac leaf on a deep tray. Pour two scoops of sugar milk over it. Proceed 5 times this way.
  4. After pouring milk on the 5th leaf, sprinkle the walnuts.
  5. Place the remaining Gullac leaves in the same way.
  6. Keep the dessert for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator. After that, decorate as you like. Enjoy your dessert!
